Joen Pallesen grew up in the suburbs of Copenhagen, Denmark. In 1999 he finished his education of screen-printing at Københavns Tekniske Skole, Copenhagen Technical College.  In 2011 Pallesen moved to Louisville with his family, where he worked for Actors Theater of Louisville in the productions of sets for four seasons. 

Throughout the community of Louisville, Pallesen has had the opportunity to create custom builds and artwork for organizations such as Actor’s Theatre of Louisville, Weber Group, Forecastle Festival and Foundation, Brown Forman, Lincoln Elementary Performing Arts School, Center for Neighborhoods, Revelry Gallery, YMCA, Boys and Girls Club, Squallis Puppeteers, Fund for the Arts, Mercer Transport, Preston Arts Center, Louisville Visual Art, Nulu Festival, ReSurfaced, Makers Mark, Kosair – Art for Kosair Kids, YouthBuild, Ideas xlab, The Louisville Artist Syndicate, Kentucky Museum of Art and Craft, Salvo Collective, Mellwood Arts Center, Fall Arts Festival at Josephine Sculpture Park and Kentucky College of Art & Design.
